First Time For Everything!

Ok so Friday was mine and Josh's 5 year Anniversary and my mom told me that Josh and myself needed some time to ourselves so she wanted to watch Aiden overnight. Aiden has not stayed anywhere overnight yet, I just couldn't get the nerve to let him, I just love being the one to put him to sleep and having him with me at night. So we take Aiden to my mom and dads before we go eat at Yarbrough's, my mom and dad lives right next door! LOL Anyways after we get done eating we didn't go back over there we came home to watch some movies. I was thinking about him alot , but I was fine. Well about 11:45 the phone rings and my mom said she couldn't get Aiden back to sleep so Josh went and got him and brought him home and the little stinker didn't go to sleep until 2am, but Josh stayed up with him while I went to bed (what a good husband!) So Saturday comes around and Josh and I decide to try it again, this time we are going to let Aiden stay with his mom and dad, which is 15 minutes away, lol, so we go to his mom and dads to eat supper and then its time to leave and it feels like I am forgetting something! Aiden did well, they said he didn't go to bed until about 11:45 though, but he did sleep all night, they had to wake him up to get him ready for church. I also did better than I thought I would do, I guess it's just getting that dreading first time over with. Has anybody else ever had a problem with leaving there little one overnight? I thought he would be graduating high school before I let him stay overnight anywhere. Now that I did it I feel better, it actually gave me a little time to myself, don't get me wrong I love Aiden to death, but everybody told me that me and Josh needed some us time and I can honestly say it went better than I thought and he is just 13 months old!!

Aiden's 12 Month Check-Up

Well we had the dreaded 12 month check up this morning at 9:30, Josh and I took him. He started crying before they even tried to examine him, he has been to the Dr his share already between sickness and check-ups so I guess he knows what was fixing to happen! Today they had to prick his finger to check to see if he is anemic and to check the amount of lead in his little body, we will know in a few days about the lead, but he is not anemic. Also he had to get 5 immunizations, but he just got 4 sticks in both little legs. Of course he cried and cried, but as soon as I picked him up all was well! He weighs a whole 20 lbs 15oz, so he is almost 21lbs! He is 30 3/4 inches long, she said he is still right on track for how he has been growing, I told her I was concerned because people keep saying he is little and she said to tell them he is the perfect size, she said she would rather be talking to me about what he needs to be eating instead of talking about putting him on a diet, which she says she does have to do that at some of her 1 year check ups, but I don't think Aiden has that to worry about for now!! LOL Well his next appt is scheduled for Novemeber for his 15 month check up and no shots!!!! I am so glad, she said he want get anymore shots until he is 4 unless he gets the flu shot which we will proabably do. She re-checked his ears and said they are looking better, so that is also a good thing. Well I am glad this is behind us, now each visit want be so bad!!! On another note Aiden is walking all over the place, he still wobbles, but I think it is so cute and I love to watch him!!!
