Hard to believe that Carlie will start her first day of preschool tomorrow, yes it will only be for two days a week for a few hours, but still seems like she was just born! Hard to believe little man Aiden will be going into first grade starting on August 27th! Carlie has not really been into this whole school thing, she says she will go when she is bigger, but we have been talking her up some and I think she is ok with it! Tonight we let her pick out a lunch box online hoping it would help, she picked out a cute mermaid one so now we just wait until it comes in the mail. She will be going to the same preschool that Aiden went to, but I didn't start Aiden until he was 4, I think this will be good for her, I hope. I have told her all the fun things she will get to do, like paint, color, and dress up, she loves all of that, so hopefully after her first day she will be ready to go back, Mrs Robin is an excellent teacher and I know Carlie will love her and Mrs Robin will have lots of fun with her! Tonight she ask me if I would miss her, boy that caught be off guard, it was so sweet and of course I told her I sure would miss her, but I would be back to get her in a few hours! I am going to of course take my camera and capture her first day of preschool and hope to get some good pics, Carlie don't always cooperate for pictures so we shall see. Well I will update after tomorrow and let everyone know how she does! Pray it goes well for the both of us!
I can't believe that 2010 is almost over and done with!! Seems like we were just celebrating Christmas 2009 and Carlie was 10 months and Aiden was 3 years! Time flys way to fast! Each year I look forward to using Shutterfly to create calenders for family, and they always expect them, perfect gift. I also look forward to creating cards with shutterfly to send out to family and friends! This weekend we are planning a trip to the NC Mountains to find the perfect Christmas tree to bring back home with us to decorate! I am hoping to get some good pictures of the kids to use on our Christmas cards this year, maybe 2 or three pictures so I can use more than one on the cards, since they offer various layouts. Shutterfly has wonderful quality and there prices are really reasonable to! The Calenders are something you can keep for years and look back at them. I am going to share a few links with you in case you want to check out all of Shutterfly's neat products and make a friend or family member something they can cherish forever!
Carlie went for her 2 month check up today and she is still growing like a weed. Carlie weighed 11 lbs 6 0z and she was 22 1/2 inches long. They don't stay little for long that is for sure, especially her considering she wasn't very little when she was born. We discussed with the Dr how fussy she is and he wants to work with us to try everything to fix the problem and hopefully to have a happier baby. He thinks from the way we describe her actions that she has severe reflux, with of course colic. He increased her dose of Zantac to the maximum amount for a newborn to see if that helps any, if it doesn't he is going to switch her to prevacid. He also mentioned maybe adding cereal to her feeding, which I am not to fond of at 2 months I don't want her to get to big just yet, he said he thought it would even out, because she may drink less milk. He didn't mean give her a lot of cereal just a little maybe in the morning and a little at night, he said it would help coat the lining of her stomach and may help with the spitting up, which is terrible. He also mentioned Enfamil AR which has the cereal mixed in and that formula is especially for babies who spit up a lot, but I really don't want to put her on formula unless I just have to right now. I was happy with how the visit went today and I feel the Dr is going to try and figure out why Miss Carlie is not a very happy little girl and we are going to get her straightened out soon. She got her 1st shots today, she ended up with 6 immunizations, but only three sticks in her little legs, one of the immunizations were liquid (RotaTeq Rotavirus Vaccine), which I don't remember with Aiden, but Carlie loved it and she didn't miss a drop! She did well with her shots, of course she screamed and turned beet red, but after it was all said and done she was ok and she slept the evening away, the most she has slept soundly since she has been born I do believe. We go back in a week to talk with the Dr again to see if we notice a change in her and see if increasing the Zantac has helped. If not we will see what the next step is and I may try the rice cereal to see if it helps soothe her stomach, I didn't start Aiden on cereal until 6 months! LOL This goes to show that all babies are very different!! So that is the latest on Carlie, I hope we can figure out what is bothering my little girl so that she can be as sweet as she is beautiful!
